This page explains what we collect on withcoyote.com, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. We've tried to write it the way we'd explain it to you in person.
Who we are
Coyote runs this website. If you have a question about your information, email hello@withcoyote.com.
What we collect
- When you book a call: your name, phone number and email, the time you picked, and anything you tell us about the work.
- How you found us, with a booking or a note: the website that sent you here (just its name), any campaign tags in the link, which button you pressed, and whether you're on a phone or a computer. We use this to see what brings people to us; it isn't used to follow you around other websites.
- When you use Ask Coyote: the questions you ask and the ones you open, and your email if you ask one of us to reply.
- The basics every website sees: your IP address and browser details, which our hosting uses to deliver the site and keep it safe from abuse.
- How the site is used: through Google Analytics, which pages and sections people view, how far they scroll, and which buttons they press (for example opening the booking panel or a question). We never send it your name, phone number, email or anything you type.
- Where people click and scroll: through Microsoft Clarity, which records how the page is used (mouse movement, clicks, taps and scrolling) so we can see what's confusing and fix it. Everything typed into the site is hidden before it's recorded.
We don't use advertising cookies. Google Analytics sets its own cookies (their names start with _ga) so it can count visits; we've turned off its advertising features. You can block it with Google's opt-out add-on or your browser's settings. Microsoft Clarity sets its own cookies too (their names start with _cl, plus MUID), and you can block them in your browser's settings. We also set a cookie when someone on our team signs in to preview the site, and, when we're comparing two versions of a page, one that remembers which version you saw.
How we use it
To reply to you, arrange and confirm your call, prepare for it, and improve our answers. We read the questions people ask so we can write better ones. We don't sell your information or use it for ads.
Who helps us
- Cloudflare hosts the site and keeps what you send in the booking panel or a note, and the questions you type into Ask Coyote (with any email, phone number or link taken out), so they reach us safely.
- Google Workspace holds our email, and the sheet and calendar where bookings and questions are kept.
- Google Analytics counts visits and what people do on the site, as described above.
- Microsoft Clarity shows us where people click and scroll, as described above. See Microsoft's privacy statement.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics measures how fast our pages load for visitors. It sets no cookies and doesn't identify you.
How long we keep it
We keep booking and question records for up to two years, then delete them, unless you become a client and we need them for our work together.
What you can ask us
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@withcoyote.com and we'll reply within 30 days.
Children
This site isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
